Miercom independently evaluated Datto Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Datto Antivirus (AV) solutions as part of comprehensive industry wide assessment that Miercom provides annually for qualified end users, MSPs and MSSPs. Datto Kaseya was not asked to pay for this review, and continues to be afforded opportunity to actively participate in Miercom studies. This purpose of this study is to assess industry wide readiness of end point protection products in detecting and protecting legacy threats as well as advanced threats from the Ai Powered Malware and recent adversary TTPs.
Key Findings:
- Overall Malware Efficacy: Datto EDR with AV demonstrated better than industry average for traditional malware detection compared to products in this class.
- Ai Powered Malware: Our study challenged all EDR vendors for defense against: Ai Generated Malware (Zero Day), Ai selected transport, Ai assisted obfuscation and persistence techniques (AET, APT) and for Ai Stacked / Compound Attacks, IPS, DoS and advanced malware combined.
- Proven Advanced Threat Detection: Datto continues to exceed our expectations for detecting fileless threats and ransomware while effectively isolating infected endpoints.
