RESTON, Va., April 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/

As part of its ongoing commitment to deliver highly secure solutions to customers, Siemens Enterprise Communications announced today that several of its products have been certified secure by Miercom for their performance under the pressure of malicious threats.

Miercom tested multiple Siemens Enterprise Communications solutions and found them to maintain integrity and functionality amid the most common threats, viruses, worms and attacks.

“We were impressed with the performance of the OpenScape systems’ resiliency in maintaining full functionality while being subjected to malicious exploits and attacks,” said Rob Smithers, CEO, Miercom. “Miercom is pleased to present the Certified Secure Award to these OpenScape products.”

Miercom conducted numerous tests on the Siemens Enterprise Communications solutions to determine if there were any relevant security vulnerabilities that could be leveraged to the detriment of a customer. The testing found that the Siemens Enterprise Communications solutions were more secure than the majority of the other similar solutions tested by Miercom.

“This recognition from Miercom illustrates that not only are Siemens Enterprise Communications’ products innovative in terms of architecture and functionality, but are also built to withstand the growing threat of malicious cyber threats,” said Rick Puskar, Senior Vice President, Global Portfolio Management, Siemens Enterprise Communications. “We strive to develop our products with the highest standards of security and we are proud to be honored by Miercom with these awards.”
