Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Performance Validation
Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches C9500-32C (100GE), C9500-32QC (40GE) and C9500-48Y4C (25GE) were tested using high-density traffic simulated by the Ixia IxNetwork test system to determine throughput and latency for different frame sizes. RFC 2544, 2889 and 3918 tests validated the high-density performance of these switches.
Key Findings:

- Up to 2 Bpps forwarding rate
- Verified 3.2 Tbps total switching throughput
- Full-line rate throughput of packet sizes 192 bytes for RFC 2544 unicast and RFC 3918 multicast throughput testing
- Latency as low as 3.02 and 3.04 microseconds for unicast and mesh throughput testing, respectively
